Sam is a spotted draft cross gelding that is sweet a sugar. He is built stout and solid. He will w/t/c and has a gait. Sam is an experienced driving horse as well as a been there done that trail horse. He crosses logs, goes up and down hills, through thick brush, has been ridden in the mountains, traffic safe and not spooky. He has attended 2 wagons trains since we have owned him and we really enjoyed driving him. He has been driven in heavy traffic, through town and nothing bothers him. Sam is easy to harness, bridle and saddle. He loads in anything even a smaller 2 horse trailer. Sam has a slight neck rein, backs and a great stop. He rides in a jr.cow horse and drives in a snaffle bit. He stands great for the farrier, has excellent hard feet. Sam has been ridden by beginners and takes care of them well. He would be an excellent husband type or family horse.
His only issue that we have found is that he doesn’t love flyspray but doesn’t put up an awful fight.
SAM is an awesome horse and a pleasure to be around.
